Résumé
This paper looks into the role of body in smartphones through various sources: developer conferences, applications, hardware and promotional videos. The images that grow in this context pose the relationship between body and technology in a different way of technoorganics and cyborgs a decade ago. The aesthetics of smartphones reveals a process which we have called scanning of the body: it’s no longer to act on the body as a prime material in order to enhance their capabilities, but to claim things such as movements and facial gestures that smartphone can identify.
