Abstract

This study analyses the influence of the use of newcommunication tools (forums, chat and openmeeting), which presents a MOOC or Learning ContentManagement System (LCMS), in teaching, and morespecifically in the subjects of business organization. The results show that in those subjects in whichthese tools have been implemented, students develop superior interpersonal skills than in those inwhich they have not been implemented. Specifically,it is obtained that the students of the subjects where these tools are implemented are more satisfiedwith it, more motivated, they obtain greater learning thanks to the feedback offered by these toolsand, moreover, they are more committed to helpingand influencing in a positive way in the learning ofothers, what we have called social commitment. Onthe other hand, students consider that the performance in this type of subjects will not necessarilybe superior. This can be explained by events suchas procrastination or the simple fact that, when theinformation was collected, the students had not yetbeen examined. Demonstrating later that in the twosubjects where the communicative tools were implemented, a superior performance was obtained.
