Abstract
Purpose: The aim of this article is to carry out a systematic review of the existing scientific literature on the relationship between the Communicative Competence of teachers and future teachers in the educational context. Design/methodology: Applying the PRISMA 2020 method, a search was carried out in quality scientific bases detailed later, to finally obtain 53 documents in which teachers’ Communicative Competence and their determinants, effects, strategies, and measurement instruments were identified. Results: It was found that the determinants of these competencies are related to the personal characteristics of those who communicate and to the context in which they are, reporting beneficial effects for students and teachers in educational terms. Thus, the importance of training future teachers in Communicative Competence. Originality: This study highlights the importance of communicative processes in the educational context. The training of teachers in this sense is very important. In addition, the educational process is valued not only as a unidirectional process of content transmission but as a living process, where emotions and feelings are transmitted along with the content.
