Doctor by the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey with the thesis A classifier-based fusion algorithm for latent fingerprint identification based on a neural network 2021. Supervised by Dr. Miguel Ángel Medina Pérez, Dr. Raúl Monroy.

I am a Maria Sklodowska-Curie postdoctoral researcher at the BISITE Research Group, Universidad de Salamanca. My research expertise spans Biometrics, Optimization Algorithms, Machine Learning, Recommender Systems, Computer Vision, Data Analysis, and Education. I earned my PhD in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2021 and hold both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de las Villas, Cuba. With extensive teaching experience, I have taught courses in Programming, Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Networks. My academic leadership includes serving as a department head and dean at Cuban universities (UCI and UNICA) and as a professor at Tec de Monterrey, Mexico. Additionally, I coached and directed the ACM-ICPC programming contest in Ciego de Ávila, Cuba, between 2011 and 2017. My research focuses on applying machine learning and deep learning algorithms to biometrics, computer vision, optimization, and education.
