Abstract

This study has as objective the comparative analysis of the Validity Scales that present two important Personality Questionnaires: the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-II (MCMI-II) and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2). We have referred as Validity Scales, on the part of MCMI-II the Scales of Social Desire (Y) and the Scale of Alteration (Z). On the part of MMPI-2 the Lie Scales (L), Incoherence (F and Fb), of Alteration (K) and the Additional of Validity referred by Variability Responses Inconsistency (VRIN) and True Responses Inconsistency (TRIN). The sample is found referred by 71 adults, clinical patients with different diagnostic, to those who have been applied the MCMI-II and the MMPI-2 together. The results denote, in a significant way, that both scales of the MCMI-II (Y, Z) show a concordant and positive correspondence with F, Fb, and TRIN, and negative with L and K of the MMPI-2. Nevertheless, we find signs cotradictory signs to correlate with the scale VRIN.
