Abstract
Clinical trial with 141 women diagnosed with fibromyalgia prior approval by the Ethics Committee of the University of Extremadura, evaluating the effectiveness of physical therapy and Qi Gong in improving the quality of life of these patients for 4 weeks. The sample was randomly distributed in three groups: group control, to not be any practiced experimental treatment, and two groups of intervention: physical therapy and another one of Qi Gong. The results were favorable for intervention groups against the control group in improving balance (p = 0.044); balance muscle (p ? 0.05) values spirometric (p ? 0.05) and quality of life patient (p = 0.007). We guarantee our results to say that the physiotherapy and the QiGong are two techniques effective for the improvement of the symptoms of patients with fibromyalgia.
