La construcción de la identidad social en los poblados de colonización de la comarca del Valle del Alagón

Resumo

The following doctoral thesis analyzes the local identity of the tenant farmers who began to come to the region of Valle del Alagón at the end of the 60´s. Understanding that the idea of cultural identity involves a sense of belonging to a social group that shares cultural features such as customs, values and beliefs, one must take into account that this identity is very recent due to the varied motivations for relocation and varied places of origin of these pioneer farmers entering the colony villages of the Alagon Region. We start from the idea that �identity� is not a fixed concept but that it is recreated individually and collectively and it is fed continually from outside influences. In short, from an anthropological point of view, the identity arises from both differentiation and reaffirmation in light of others, and this is linked to a specific location, in this case the region of Valle del Alagón´s colonization villages. The identity is the sense of belonging to a group, a social class, productive sector, a specific group of reference. This community could be geographically specific although this is not necessarily the case.
