Résumé

This work seeks to analyze the concept of Technological Literacy and its application in Extremadura through the Plan of Technological Literacy and Free Software. Work on the idea of this type of literacy with examples of projects that are being carried out in the world currently. Will analyze in depth the Plan of Technological Literacy in Extremadura with details about its beginnings, objectives, methodology... in order to show the work done in the region during its 12 years of life, as well as the results of the same. Through a series of surveys of the population will be discussed the following issues: - Forward that Extremadura society has experienced because of the existence of technological literacy and the free and accessibility of the same. - Role that technological literacy has played and plays as a way for the social and labor insertion in marginal areas. - Adaptation of the Extremadura to technological advances. - Importance of ICTS in our daily lives.
