Abstract

The objective of this work is identifying the socio-economic profiles of women holding undeclared jobs as opposed to the profiles of those holding declared jobs. This study is the first of its kind in the Castilla y León Community. (Spain) Homogeneity analysis (HOMALS) is the basic technique in the GIFI system of nonlinear multivariate analysis. It aims at the representation of the structure of non-numerical multivariate data by assessing scores to individuals and categories of variables, optimizing a certain criterion. In this work, these scores are used to construct a cluster analysis to identify the socio-economic profiles of women holding undeclared jobs in (Salamanca) Spain using a sample of 3100 women. Using HOMALS prior to cluster analysis it was possible to identify the socio-economic profiles of women holding undeclared jobs in Salamanca, Spain, and their requests. Particular attention is paid to domestic workers, immigrants and family allowances
