Abstract

The dissertation Estudio de la lectura en discursos legislativos y medios de comunicación social (1960-2010) contains public discourses on Reading and includes articles from daily newspapers such as El Mundo, ABC and El País, as well as legal texts published at the Official Spanish Gazette (BOE). This project is based on a frequency study where the most relevant terms have been analyzed to observe the evolution of public discourse throughout the abovementioned period. Other key aspects, such as the evolution of the reading concept along history, literature standards, the relation between reading and education, as well as new reading formats have also been discussed.
