Abstract

This thesis proposes the theological validity of Tilliette’s work about the philosophical Christology by systematising its three basic meanings: first, Philosophy as a way of encountering Christ; then, the relevance of Christ to Philosophy; and finally a Christ’s conscience Phenomenology which unifies the different views of that “Philosophical Christ”. Tilliette’s work not only helps Theology to defend the true humanity of Christ, taking as starting-point his divine condition, but also offers the recognition of the theological magnitude of Blondel’s philosophy, enriching at the same time the theology related to the Mysteries of the Life of Jesus with the help of Phenomenology.
