¿Existen diferencias entre los directivos y emprendedores en las empresas exportadoras?

Abstract

This paper attempts to study if it is really true that managers, who don't have the largest capital investment, are different from entrepreneurs and if there are differences between exporting managers and entrepreneurs. We test if age, level of education, functional experience, international experience, manager's compensation, manager's control systems and psychological manager's characteristics are different between exporting managers and entrepreneurs. The paper reveals that there are not big differences between exporting firms but there are bigger differences between not exporting firms. No exporting entrepreneurs are older, have more product and marketing expertise but have fewer foreigner education and tolerance for ambiguity.
