Abstract

The presence in the texts of possessive adjectives of first person places the emphasis on the referents of the terms that they modify, whether abstract or concrete. The analysis of their use contributes to reveal the intentions of the author, who in an indirect way displays which are the concepts, beings or objects around which the speech is focused or define his personality. The article analyzes texts of Plautus, Cicero and Seneca.
