Zusammenfassung

The purpose of this paper is to examine the nature of the contrast between the motion verbs eo and venio in the Peregrinatio Aetheriae. The analysis of the text reveals that the contrast does not depend on Aktionsart, but on deixis, much like that of the verbs of coming and going in the Romance languages.
