Zusammenfassung
This paper outlines and analyzes the results obtained when conducting a research on the area of Information Science and Library Science in several international systems of evaluation of scientific monographs / publishers. The bibliographic review facilitated the selection of assessment systems that could be used in this study. The searches were defined and the results were analyzed, concluding that, although these systems are very useful and, currently, they are forming a very interesting evaluation system at international level, they still present deficiencies that can prevent their full implementation in the main scientific databases; redressing these shortcomings would definitively assign to the scientific monographs the visibility and the weight as a channel of dissemination of Science that the scientific articles already have.
