Résumé

Emerging technologies facilitate and enable optimization of learning. This is leading to profound changes in education. Discuss how these changes influence the teaching-learning process is the goal of this research. A sample of 380 master students at the Institute of Language and Educational Technology (ILTEC), Panama, we applied a questionnaire to assess the utility of emerging technologies in the classroom. The results show that the technologies have a positive appraisal for its high potential and distance, for the ease of communication between users, and the ease with which students adapted to these new situations. The 3D presentations based tools were considered of great interaction. The teachers felt that it was necessary to improve the methodological design of the sessions in which emerging technologies were used. Among the study's findings highlight: Increase structuring content, limit the length of sessions to sixty minutes, using the educational possibilities of virtual platforms for distribution of online courses (Moodle) and the design of teaching situations and seminars based learning with limited capacity.
