Abstract

This article explores the work of poetess from Formazza Valley, Anna Maria Bacher, who decided to use Walser language to write her poems. Starting from some preliminary considerations, the study aims to put in connection the peculiar linguistic choice of the author with the main images and themes of her literary production, in order to demonstrate how those recurring themes can be, symbolically, led back to one: “death”, but always considered as a necessary part of the circle of life.
