Abstract

Following the cognitive orientation that impels the construction of faceted tests, four computerised tests have been designed using tasks similar to the classic paper form board, surface development, block counting and punched holes tests. Effects of the facets on reaction times and accuracy have been analysed in a sample of 501 college students. As expected, only some task conditions imply the use of mental transformations defining the Visualization construct. Relevance of these results for construction and validation of spatial testing is emphasized
