Abstract
This is a propsopographic study of Salamancan representatives and senators during the Restauration. It is set in the Framework of a more extensive project that sutdies all the Castilian parliamentarians of that period. A synthesis is made of the political, social, professional, patrimonial, and cultural characteristics of the group, as well as the families involved, and this is placed within a regional context so that its specific nature can be appreciated. The conclusions attempt to provide a summary that may act as a model to compare with the parliamentary groups of other Spanis regions. The aim is thus to increase our knowledge of this group of power and the political system of the Restauration.
