Abstract
This article is about the study of the Universities of San Marcos de Lima (the university with most influence and projection in Perú), San Ignacio de Loyola and San Antonio del Cuzco and San Cristóbal de Huamanga (Ayacucho). The author begins with the historical development of each one, analysing afterwards the different handwritten and printed sources and finishing with a critical bibliography about this subject.
