Zusammenfassung
In this article we study the different symbolic manifestations which appeared in Visigothic Spain of the seventh century; at the same time the political and religious theory, on which the monarchical power is based, is developed and consolidated. This article consists of three parts: in the first part, the exaltation of the royal power in the written documents is analyzed; in the second, the external manifestation of the sovereignty, and lastly, the ceremony which makes evident the monarch's lotty position in society.
