Zusammenfassung

The paper summarizes the encounter between the author and Willem Doise on how knowledge is constructed from social contexts. Topics are organized around three main issues: a) To what extent is developmental psychology independent of social psychology? This may be an excessively academic distinction whose limits are gradually disappearing. b) How do individuals construct knowledge from social contexts? Finally, c) what role do theories play in dealing with the previous questions?
