Résumé

An overview of the Presence of Students from the Basque Country, Navarra and Rioja in the Universities of the Crown of Castile during the Modern Age, 16th to 18th Centuries. Through studying Law these students were able to move up to the higher bureaucratic offices of the State and Church, forming a very significant and outstanding group within the administrative system of the Spanish monarchy. Different aspects relating to these students are discussed: daily life, numbers, origin, clientele, promotions and offices obtained.
