Zusammenfassung
The purpose of this study is to know the characteristics of the “good university teacher”, confronting teachers and students opinions about this topic. Results form the interpretation of data revealed that teachers and students support differents points of view. Studens think the more important characteristics to be a good teacher are, in this order: to explain with clarity, to have a good knowledge of discipline and to be objetive in the marks (califications). Teachers increase the value of the knowledge of discipline, in second place defend the clarity in explanations and the preparation of the classes.
