Resumen

El principal objetivo de este trabajo es examinar la necesaria convergencia entre la gestión del conocimiento y la gestión estratégica de recursos humanos. Se utiliza la visión de la empresa basada en los recursos, junto con otros apoyos teóricos, para resaltar los elementosbásicos de la integración entre la gestión del conocimiento y la gestión estratégica de recursos humanos. Se discuten los conceptos de conocimiento, capital humano y sistema de gesitión de recursos humanos como activos estratégicos que pueden convertirse en fuentes deventaja competitiva para la empresa. Estos elementos poseen las características de los activosestratégicos: son raros, valiosos, inimitables e insustituibles. La conceptualización propuestase utiliza para examinar el proceso dinámico que puede aportar una ventaja competitiva sostenible. En este artículo se discuten algunas de las implicaciones de la convergencia entregestión del conocimiento y la gestión de recursos humanos en el marco de la teoría de los recursos y capacidades.
