Validez estructural de las pruebas de evaluación de realización cognitiva

Resumen

En este artículo se discuten las contribuciones del Análisis Factorial Confirmatorio a la evaluación de los modelos estructurales de las aptitudes. Se contrasta el ajuste a varios modelos factoriales alternativos de los resultados obtenidos en una muestra de jóvenes portugueses de enseñanza media y superior (N=849), con doce pruebas que evalúan tres procesos (comprensión, razonamiento y pensamiento divergente), mediante ítems de cuatro contenidos (verbal, figurativo abstracto, espacial y numérico). Un modelo de seis factores, que refleja la importancia conjunta de los procesos cognitivos y de los contenidos, parece el más adecuado. En este contexto, se afirma que es necesario revisar de nuevo la oposición tradicional entre modelos jerárquicos y taxonómicos, puesto que ambos tipos son complementarios
