Abstract
This paper investigates the place of musical aesthetics in the context of new technologies as well as the special nature of its historical development as compared to other arts, anticipating many traits that appeared as new in late twentieth century aesthetics. Is it a new version of the dialectical relationship between Ars nova and Ars antigua or is it only a kind of second modernity?
