Abstract
This article explains the specific logical structure of the value judgements commonly used in Bioethics. The kind of judgements is contrasted to the factual judgments upon which empirical sciences are constructed. On this lines, the role splayed by reason and freedom in moral language are characterizes, and T. Engelhardt's proposal for the foundations of Bioethics is critical reported.
