Abstract

Patroni Griffi presents us theater of characters, a theater almost exclusively based on the reencounter of the characters and the conflicts developed among them, transforming the scene in a real boxing ring. The relevance of the dramatic figure has taken us to develop an exhaustive analysis of the characters of one of Griffi's first works, Anima ñera, and what we consider the main one: Adriano. First, we have studied the specific characteristic of the dramatic figure's emisor of information, and then we have studied how Adrianos identity has been built: physic and emotional characteristics, autocharacteritation, heterocharacteritation -two of the main ideas in our article-,and characteristics through Adrianos actions. Finally, we have analyzed the integration of the character in the social reality -Rome at the end of the fifties, and the language he used to communicate.
