Resumen

Partiendo del trabajo de Madigan, Johnson y Linton (1995), y de la polémica que le siguió, se revisan algunas características básicas no siempre explícitas del estilo editorial de la American Psychological Association (APA), así como algunas de las objeciones que la sujeción a este estilo suscita en algunos autores. A partir de esa revisión se discuten problemas relacionados con los supuestos que subyacen a ese estilo, con los aspectos éticos de la investigación o con las diferentes posiciones epistemológicas desde las que se investiga en Psicología. En las conclusiones se propone una diferenciación más neta entre los sistemas de indagación científico-técnico y comunicativo-práctico, y la asunción expresa en el propio texto de las responsabilidades éticas de la autoría y el desarrollo de la investigación
