Abstract
Depopulated villages, lethargy and ageing in the region of High Lands and Tera's Valley (Soria, Spain).- This region constitutes a good example of how the emigration occurred during the second half of XXth century has affected intensely in the Spanish mountain areas. The deep population decrease rebounds in a negative natural growth, in an accused ageing and in the small size of towns, which can reach the total emptiness. The onward changes are glimpsed with the arrival of new residents and the investments in development projects.
