Abstract
This article aims to provide a general overview on researching in Social Sciences. In order to set different methodologies in context, this paper deals with the following contets: types of knowledge and their main features, epistemology, ways of researching and their main features, and the states of the question of the debate amongst the different paradigms, particularly stressing complementariness and traingulation of methods.
