Résumé
The Puente de Selce granitoid intruded the Proterozoic Narcea slates and was deformed heterogeneously during Variscan times. Gneisic, mylonitic and phyllonitic textures surround lenses with less prominent deformation. The age of this rocks is interpreted to be pre-variscan. The Puente de Selce granitoid is formed by 1-type high-K calc-alkaline tonalites and granodiorites which have evolved by fractionation of plagioclase, biotite, amphibole and apatite. Major and trace element contents and variation trends are characteristic of granitoids generated in an Andean-type continental are setting. Melting of amphibolitic rocks of andesitic composition in the lower crust is proposed as the most likely mechanism for the generation of these rocks.
