Abstract
The present article approaches the relations between the Court at Toledo, after it had converted to Catholicism in 589, and the images projected of a celestial world, especially angels, which were conceived as faithful subjects of the divinity, understood as the image of a good ruler. The ideas of faithfulness and betrayal intermingle to make up a set of values that act as a sanctioning element of the new social situation.
