Abstract
Throughout his long artistic career, Fernando Mayoral, an artist from Cáceres, has experimented with a wide variety of tendencies, motives and plastic inspirations. A painter by vocation and a sculptor by profession, his works in the latter field have provided him with popularity and success, contributing to define a multifarious career which finds in modeling and carving its raison d�être. In these fields, the religious sculptural plastic has always been present, not in an overwhelming or exclusive way, but clearly enough as to consider it an interesting and personal work nucleus in the artist�s creative path. This articles deals with some of his most outstanding creations in this field.
