Abstract
The present work offers a comparative approach to the legal treatment of Domestic Violence and Gender Violence in Spain and Portugal, highlighting the flaws of both legal systems and their approach via Criminal Law, whilst studying the different measures offered in order to enforce the protection of the victims of such crimes.
