Abstract

This paper analyses the relations of the research units of the University of Panama with other agents in the national innovation system of Panama, such as private companies, research organizations, public bodies and other entities. The study allowed the detection of networks which have been formed in different ways, but always meeting the needs of the participants. Interactions are weak and scattered, they do not guarantee the efficient and effective operation of the networks. It cannot ensure the necessary development of innovation processes.
