Spanish version of the Cultural Intelligence Scale (CQS)

Resumen

En los últimos años, el concepto de inteligencia cultural ha recibido una atención creciente por investigadores y profesionales debido a su relevancia teórica y práctica. Comprender por qué algunos individuos se adaptan más eficazmente que otros a contextos sociales culturalmente diversos se ha convertido en un objetivo con implicaciones para la educación, la selección de personal o la prevención del conflicto social. El objetivo de la investigación fue adaptar al español la Escala de Inteligencia Cultural (EIC). Para ello se realizaron dos estudios. En el primero, se analizaron las propiedades de la medida generadas por la EIC en una muestra española (N = 413). En el segundo estudio, se realizó una replicación confirmatoria de los resultados de la estructura factorial y fiabilidad de la EIC con otra muestra, también española, pero distinta a la del primer estudio (N = 526). Los resultados obtenidos indicaron que la versión española de la Escala de Inteligencia Cultural es un instrumento útil y adecuado para ser utilizado con garantías psicométricas en la población hispanohablante.
