Abstract
Involving students in finding global solutions to global challenges is achieved through Challenge Based Learning. This method includes cooperative learning, the vision of the problems that affect in a global way to all the humanity and the applied vision of diverse academic subjects. This type of learning is usually included in actions carried out by the educational center, since it needs to integrate knowledge of several subjects and it is also usually carried out in extra-academic periods. In this work, a methodology is developed that allows to apply the Learning Based on Challenges within the context of a subject and during the academic timetable. This methodology integrates the following methods: Challenge Based Learning and Challenge Based Instruction. The proposed system is sustainable since it can be applied continuously for several academic courses, it incorporates all the advantages of Learning Based on Challenges and allows students to have a vision of the subject oriented to solve real problems in which students are involved.
