Abstract

In this article we show the elements of the statistical thinking through two teachers’ practice. As we start from the professional practice the methodo-logical framework is the knowledge quartet model. This model is used to de-termine the knowledge mobilized in a classroom by different situations and tasks posed by the teacher. We briefly describe the elements of statistical knowledge and their relation with each quartet knowledge dimension through various classroom events when graphical representations are taught. This review can be a sample of required teacher’s knowledge and can be a guide to the design of the teacher instruction.
