Abstract
Objective: The aim of the study was to evaluate the perception that the subjects, who have suffered a stroke, have of their quality of life and in the background, to evaluate in which domains of the ECVI-38 questionnaire, the affectation is greater. Methods: A descriptive observational cross-sectional study, in which the ECVI-38 questionnaire was used, with which a sample of 30 subjects from three different institutions was evaluated. Results: The results showed that the most affected domains were physical condition and the Instrumental Activities of Daily Life . Referring to the subjects’ perception about their own degree of involvement, after the disease’s acute period, was mild; and they had the perception that they had recovered enough from the stroke. Conclusion: It was concluded that all subjects interviewed experienced a change in the perception of their quality of life after suffering the stroke.
