Abstract
The application of industrial engineering to the biosanitary field plays an increasingly relevant role in the design and creation of anatomical structures, for both teaching purposes and medical-surgical applications. Thanks to the joint colla- boration between industrial engineers and professionals in the field of Human Anatomy, we have generated very precise bone models, using rapid prototyping techniques, for the de- tailed morphological study of the different reliefs. This allowed improving the anatomical view of bone details that cannot be seen in original bones because of deterioration. In this study, we have presented additive fabrication of the skull, after performing three-dimensional reconstruction with high precision scanners. The application of specific techni- ques and software used in the field of industrial engineering for the processing of three-dimensional anatomical models has allowed us to elaborate our bony pieces with an excellent similarity to the original samples
