Resum

This research aims to approach music therapy to oncology patients and to   evaluate whether their relaxation, physical comfort and pain increases once the session has finished. Results were obtained on a single session and sessions conducted were performed both individually and as a group. Items of relaxation, pain and emotional state have been analyzed before and after implementing the therapy. Seventy nine patients have participated in this research from whom 10 of them were hospitalized in the oncology unit, 62 patients were receiving chemotherapy treatment and 7 of them were hospitalized in the Palliative Care Unit. Live music has been used in the sessions and the participation of the patients has been active or passive, according to their request.
