During the crisis and economic recovery, inequality has jumped back onto the board. That is why this monograph seeks to review such a classic subject and at the same time as the inequality in its different manifestations. And we do this around three axes. The first has to do with the classic inequalities associated with the labour market and the social stratification it generates. The second axis that we highlight is the territorial dimension and, in short, the socio-economic segregation associated with the territory in which we live; a division that is not always incorporated in the analysis of inequality, but which has acquired an explanatory capacity and a growing relevance. And, finally, a third axis that addresses the other inequalities that go beyond the traditional class divisions, but that can have an intersectionality with the social class.
