Résumé

The modes expounded by the ancient sceptics became a point of reference for those who try to prove, reach any truth or justify any belief. Due to it, this paper analyses the objections of the sceptic philosophers later to Aenesidemus and previous to Sextus Empiricus. Such objections are generally attributed to Agrippa and they imply a questioning of the grounds of all knowledge that must be followed in order to make a proof or justification. In addition, we will try to point out some of the possible solutions, especially those developed previously by Aristotle.

20 Es cierto que, aunque el padre es causa del hijo y, a su vez, el hijo hace padre al padre (como ocurre con el amo y el esclavo y tantos otros casos), se trata de una relación que necesariamente requiere de dos elementos, lo cual no implica esa causalidad bidireccional, pues uno de los dos instituye la relación (en un caso, el padre; en el otro, suponemos, el amo). Toda causa requiere de un efecto para ser tal, pero ello no implica que el efecto sea, a su vez, causa de la causa de la cual es también efecto.
