Resumen

Esta nota examina varios volúmenes recientes centrados en la articulación política de la diversidad cultural (Hooghe et al. 2019; Máiz 2018; Hooghe et al. 2017; Hooghe y Marks 2016; Hooghe et al. 2016). En el texto se analizan el papel y el carácter de la comunidad política y de la nación en las obras reseñadas, se examinan las alternativas político-institucionales discutidas por los autores (el federalismo, la autoridad regional, la gobernanza multinivel, las organizaciones internacionales) y se consideran los principales retos y constricciones a los que se enfrentan estos modelos de gobernanza territorial en las democracias actuales.
