Abstract

The object of the research refers to land passenger transport. The field of transport contracts, liability, consumer’s law protection and insurance are particularly addressed. Also, it may be highlighted the detailed study of the new forms of collective land transport derived from the collaborative movement and its legal implications. Throughout this doctoral thesis we have tried to highlight all the shortcomings found in the Spanish legal system under which it is difficult to ensure equal treatment for passengers of diferent land transport systems in the Spanish territory –mainly, railway and land transport servicies-. It is our intention to shed some light on our confusing legal situation that, almost unnoticed by the ius civilian doctrine and far from being resolved by the national or European legislators, has been established in the Spanish legal system.
