Zusammenfassung

The following presentation for the II International Symposium of Art, Tradition and Ornament in Baroque addresses the patronage of the Archbishop, Pedro de Acuña at the Salamanca Cathedral. In the first paragraphs of presentation there is an introduction on the state of the baroque collections and the importance of the creation of patrons and his stay in Rome during the papacy Urbano VIII. Thanks to his residency in Rome, the Archbishop Acuña acquired different relics, arts objects, tapestries, furniture and paintings from the painter Guido Reni. Many of these works later donated to the cathedral chapters different as was the case of Salamanca.
