Abstract
The analyse of the ancient onomastic in the provinces of Salamanca and Avila shows an inward-looking society, with fex contacts with the provincial environment and with the western part of the Empire. This conclusion is contioned, perhaps, on account of the characteristics of the epigraphy in the zone concerned but all the cultural parameters show the prevalent indigenism in this society.
