Résumé

Anticardiolipin antibodies (aCL) are antiphospholipid antibodies, which specifically recognize the phospholipids that form cell membranes. They can be classified as IgM / IgG / IgA depending on the isotype or as dependent/ independent of the B2 glycoprotein I (B2GPI) depending on whether they can bind to cardiolipin in the presence or absence of B2GPI. For detection we use ELISA in accordance with the standard proposed by Harris et al. The aCL and lupus anticoagulant, are the most commonly used markers for the diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). In addition to its presence in the primary APS, they are found in many other clinical settings. We recommend that patients who have not yet developed thrombosis, strictly avoid or control other risk factors for thrombosis. With regard to therapy, it is usual to employ aspirin only in high-risk groups.
